Effective Saturday, June 14, 2008 ,  Hackney Carriage Taxi fares will be increased by 25%.  The new fees are to be calculated on the following basis:

 Base rate - $156.25

 Distance per kilometer - $31.25

 Waiting Time Charge - $16.00

 Long term rate of hire - $500.00 per hour
