The training for the badge covers three modules, Defensive Driving, Customer Service and Professionalism. The online courses are in the form of games, tips and puzzles which are easy, fun and engaging. Just follow these simple steps and get your badge in no time:Pay the fee at the Transport AuthorityYou will get an alert on your phone with the details about the online trainingYou complete the training whenever and wherever you wantYou then sit the exam and collect your badge This initiative is a partnership among the Transport Authority, Edufocal and the BCIC as part of the Authority's continued innovation to make training easy and accessible.Remember all Public Passenger Vehicle Operators are required by law to have a Transport Authority badge.
Transport Authority PPV Operators Children Tablet Drive
The Transport Authority through its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme will be issuing approximately 30 tablets to children of Public Passenger Vehicles (PPV), ages 7 to 12 years. This initiative is in support of the “Government Tablet in School Programme” which is geared at digitally empowering children, providing them with the necessary tools to function in the online teaching and learning environment. Qualified PPV operators are invited to complete the attached application form and submit it along with the essay to Miss Trudy Ann Myers at trudy-ann.myers@ta.org.jm by Wednesday, August 31, 2022. To Qualify the owner/operator: Must be the holder of a valid road licence which expires 2023 and beyond or a valid badge which expires 2023 and beyond Must present a valid transport authority driver/conductor badgeThe child must submit with the application form a 100 words essay to say why he/she should receive the tablet Please note it is one (1) tablet per child of PPV owner/operator/household.Download Application Form Here
