TRANSPORT AUTHORITY EXPRESSES REGRET AT THE TRAGIC PASSING OF MR. PATRICK FORRESTER

Eleven New Routes Now Available to Route Taxis in the KMTA

  KINGSTON, JAMAICA: Minister of Transport, Hon Daryl Vaz has given the Transport Authority the ‘greenlight’ to make eleven (11) additional routes available for Route Taxis to operate legally in the Kingston Metropolitan Transportation Region (KMTA), effective July 2025.Here’s a listing of the additional routes: {{ "12 New KMTA Routes.png" | asset_url | img_tag }}Operators desirous of plying these additional routes are invited to license their vehicles though the respective Taxi Associations. Here’s a list of the Transport Authority’s Taxi Associations: https://www.ta.org.jm/taxi-associations.The Transport Authority is an Agency of the Government charged with the responsibility for the licensing of all public and commercial vehicles, and the regulating and monitoring of Public Passenger Vehicles throughout the island of Jamaica.
