TRANSPORT AUTHORITY EXPRESSES REGRET AT THE TRAGIC PASSING OF MR. PATRICK FORRESTER
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The board, management and staff of the Transport Authority express regret at the tragic passing of Mr. Patrick Forrester,President of the Petersfield Taxi Association in Westmoreland. Mr. Forrester was a longstanding president who has served the association with passion and diligence {{ "Patrick Forrester.jpg" | asset_url | img_tag }} Mr. Forrester will be remembered for his advocacy for the public transportation system in Jamaica up to the time of his death on Wednesday. New Routes Now Available to Route Taxis in the KMTA
KINGSTON, JAMAICA: Minister of Transport, Hon Daryl Vaz has given the Transport Authority the ‘greenlight’ to make eleven (11) additional routes available for Route Taxis to operate legally in the Kingston Metropolitan Transportation Region (KMTA), effective July 2025.Here’s a listing of the additional routes: {{ "12 New KMTA Routes.png" | asset_url | img_tag }}Operators desirous of plying these additional routes are invited to license their vehicles though the respective Taxi Associations.
